A few weeks ago, we posted about the “Uniquely Solitude” videos we created for our client, Solitude Ski Resort. While those videos were used to more carefully promote the offerings of Solitude, the “My Solitude” campaign was aimed to hear from the customer about why they love skiing or riding there so much. The goal was to keep them candid, fun and short. The basic premise was to go out with a skier or rider and find out what their favorite part of Solitude is.
Adding this series on in addition to the “Uniquely Solitude” campaign was an easy and affordable way for Solitude to get additional video content that will help drive people to their website and ultimately, the ski hill. Each of these videos took only 2-3 hours of filming and turned into some nice additional marketing videos for Solitude.

In this video we spent a morning skiing with Heidi, a long-time Solitude local. The key point to this quick video was showing that Solitude has some really great terrain for expert skiers.

We were going for the cute effect here. Although you can barely understand the little girl (we tried about 50 takes. She was very shy), this one hits you on an emotional level, which is essential for any good marketing video. Every purchase we make it based on emotions right? We’re sure that any parent hoping to get their little one into skiing got excited by this one.

Solitude is known mainly for one thing: Solitude. On this particular day, we went out with this snowboarder and enjoyed a spring day completely to ourselves.
