These days, there are a million ways to market your business. Which ones are necessary? Which aren’t? While everyone’s strategy is different, one thing is certain: video is arguably the most powerful way to connect to your customers. Why? Simply put, people would rather watch a video than anything else you throw at them. Watching videos is what people do with their time. On Youtube alone, over four billion videos are viewed per day. Youtube is the web’s second-largest search engine. If there is one place online where people “hang out”, it’s Youtube.
With a 41% higher click-through rate than text, consider how much more effective a post on social media can be with a video. If you have something to tell your customers, telling them in the form of a video does two things: it guarantees more people to see it, and it bridges a gap between you and the customer. It makes them trust you and connect with you.
Every video we produce at Grit Visual is custom-tailored to each client’s need. What do you not have now, that a video might help you accomplish in the future? Why will you be better off after we make this video? How will we gauge if the video is a successful or not? These are questions we always ask going into each project. We’re in the business of creating beautiful videos but at the end of the day each one we produce needs to make our client better off than they were before.
The most common goal we help our clients with is simple: selling more. We generally work with small business and at the end of the day, getting more sales is all that matters. Video has a strength that no other medium of advertising does: it strikes people’s emotional cords. Buying is an emotional decision, and if you can hook them on a feeling, your product will sell itself. A good video, paired with targeted keywords and Google Adwords, can be seen by an enormous amount of potential customers. More video views = more awareness about your business = more sales.
Over the course of the next few weeks, we’ll be releasing a series of posts about the power of video marketing and how you can use it to increase sales for your product or service. Stay tuned, and thanks for reading.
